Bethany Hall-Long most qualified candidate

August 22, 2016

As a nurse, wife, mother, professor and resident of Delaware, I would like to offer my heartfelt endorsement of Dr. Bethany Hall-Long as the next lieutenant governor of Delaware.

I believe Bethany "has what it takes" to serve the state and to focus on the important priorities facing our state and its residents. These include health, education, jobs and the growing the economy, the environment, and Delaware's infrastructure. As a colleague, I can attest to Bethany's dedication, level of knowledge, hard work, and enthusiasm to serve the citizens of Delaware.

Bethany's Sussex County roots and reach throughout the state provide Bethany with the ability to advocate for the whole state and see the big picture of Delaware's needs. Her passion for such issues as drug abuse, discrimination, LGBTQ rights, women's safety and equality, and others demonstrate her strong advocacy for all citizens of Delaware.

Perhaps the most important consideration when selecting a candidate for lieutenant governor lies in the responsibilities in the role. The lieutenant governor will step in if the governor is unable to maintain the duties of governor. No other candidate is as ready as Bethany to step in should this situation arise. Bethany's record of 14 years as a state representative and senator provide her with this level of experience and the readiness so important of this role! America is facing a huge number of internal and global issues - this year it is critical for candidates with experience and integrity to win elections.

Both of these components, experience and integrity, are paramount for Delaware. Bethany tirelessly demonstrates these qualities and her energy, wisdom, and sincere desire to serve make her the strongest candidate. I encourage all who are interested to visit www.bethany2016.com and see how ready Bethany is to take on the challenges of the office of lieutenant governor of Delaware.
