Betty M. Lowe, nursing assistant

Mrs. Betty M. Lowe, 93, of Millsboro passed away peacefully in the care of Atlantic Shores Rehab and Health Center Monday, Sept. 11, 2017.

Mrs. Lowe was born Sept. 19, 1923, in Shamokin, Pa., to the late Michael and Martha Schankweiler Sacona. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, John A. Kline in 1963, as well as two brothers, Raymond and Bill Sacona; a grandson, Michael Johnson; and a great-grandson, Joseph Waples.

She retired from the Stockley Center in 1988 after 16 years of working as a nursing assistant. Her life revolved around her family and taking care of her six children. She enjoyed cooking and liked to cook for others.

She is survived by six children: John A. Kline and his wife Debbie of Georgetown, Arthur R. Kline of Delmar, Sandra Lee Waples and her husband Billy of Millsboro, Audrey Kline of Milford, Mike Kline and his wife Iva of Millsboro and Wayne O. Kline and his wife Anne of Millsboro; a brother, Harry M. Sacona and his wife Ruth of Ocean View. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren; as well as her family at Atlantic Shores, especially Sherita Dowdy who took great care of her for the last 12 years.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 16, at Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. for a viewing and visitation. Burial will follow at the Millsboro Cemetery. Pastor Chuck Reynolds will officiate.
