April 14, 2017

Big Fish Foundation, the charitable arm of Big Fish Grill, and Cape Henlopen Educational Foundation are once again teaming up to present the fourth annual Big Fish 5K Sunday, April 30, at Big Fish Grill in Rehoboth Beach.

The popular event, open to all age groups, benefits the Big Fish Charitable Foundation and supports educational programs and initiatives in Cape Henlopen School District. Presenting Sponsor Tetra Tech, a worldwide provider of architectural, engineering and technical services, is joined by sponsors Williams Insurance Agency, Grateful Farms and Singer, as well as many other community sponsors.

“Big Fish Foundation is pleased to continue to support organizations which have a positive impact on our local community,” said Holly Monaco, vice president and chief operating officer of the Big Fish Group.

Alyssa Titus, CHEF development director, said, “We appreciate the terrific support we’ve received from the Big Fish Charitable Foundation and our generous sponsors, which helps our Cape students excel academically and developmentally.”

The entry fee for the Big Fish 5K is $25 for adults and $20 for students until noon, Friday, April 28. After that, fees are $30 for adults and $25 for students. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., and the race starts at 8:30. To register, go to www.races2run.com. A popular incentive for student runners is the drawing on race day for a $1,000 educational savings bond. The winner must participate in the race and have a valid student ID.

CHEF, a 501c3nonprofit organization, is celebrating its 10th year of funding educational enrichment programs for Cape Henlopen School District.
