Blue Heron Agility Dogs donates to Delmar Police

September 24, 2017

Blue Heron Agility Dogs of Delaware recently presented the Delmar Police Department with a check for $1,000 to cover the cost of a new state-of-the-art protective dog vest. The money was presented to Cpl. Thomas Esham and his canine partner Atilla, a 4-year-old Belgian Malinois.

A former military K9, Atilla is a dual-purpose K9.

Blue Heron has presented funds for eight vests over the past four years. The club’s goal is to make sure every K9 is protected with the proper equipment. Any agency in need of a vest may contact Blue Heron at djester@nanticoke.org. The club plans to present two vest donations during 2018.
