Book signings set April 7, 9 for Fay Jacobs' new ‘Fried & Convicted’

Author Stefani Deoul will sign her new young adult novel
March 30, 2017

Take cover, Rehoboth Beach, she's back! The book signing launch for Fay Jacobs' new collection of essays called "Fried & Convicted: Rehoboth Beach Uncorked!" will be from 4 to 6 p.m., Friday, April 7, at CAMP Rehoboth, 37 Baltimore Ave., Rehoboth Beach.

"Fried & Convicted!" is being released by Bywater Books, which will also release a second remarkable book at the April 7 event. In addition to spotlighting Fay Jacobs' hilarious new collection (her fifth!), the event will feature Bywater author Stefani Deoul's new young adult novel, "On a LARP."

Both authors will also be signing their new books from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sunday, April 9, at Browseabout Books, 133 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach.

Jacobs' collection has a lot of funny and outrageous things to say about the last several years in Rehoboth, the nation and Fay's crazy travels. Plus, of course, politics - in fact, the book was supposed to go to press in early November, but the shocking new political landscape warranted a delay for some previously unpublished, no-holds-barred columns.

Jacobs said, "I just couldn't let the book go to press on Nov. 9 with me in the fetal position on the sofa, 3 a.m., a tumbler of Grey Goose in hand, hanging my head and whining. I had to fight back!"

"Fried & Convicted" and "On a LARP" will be available for the first time at the April 7 event, with the authors standing by for book signings and conversation. And refreshments! Yes, there will be wine!

Deoul's "On a LARP" (LARP is for Live Action Role Playing), is a coming-of-age story, part internet mystery and part old-fashioned whodunit. She introduces readers to 17-year old Sidonie 'Sid' Rubin, a strong new girl hero for the times. Scary smart, insecure and a smartass, Sid has an uncanny knack for solving problems, particularly those that lurk in the darkest corners of that strange world called the internet.

At the CAMP Rehoboth event, 30 percent of book sales benefit CAMP Rehoboth's nonprofit work in the community.

The books will be available at Browseabout, Bywaterbooks.com, Amazon.com and more. For more information, go to www.Bywater.com, www.Fayjacobs.com and www.Stefanideoul.com.
