Bourbon dinner at Bethany Blues booking for Nov. 14

October 12, 2017

Bethany Blues of Lewes announced dates for its exclusive bourbon dinners for the 2017-18 shoulder season. Anyone who has attended a Private Bourbon Stash Dinner at Bethany Blues of Lewes knows what all the fuss is about, and those who haven't, now have a chance to get in on the action.

The dinners, which are coursed and accommodate only 12 guests in the Barrel Room, are educational as well as social. Bethany Blues rolls out the red carpet of bourbon selections, bringing out the private collection of owner Kevin Roberts, which has taken him years to amass.

Jessica Nathan, director of operations for the Lewes location, says the selection alone is noteworthy. "From some of the most sought-after tastes, like the Pappy Van Winkle, to more intriguing choices like the Japanese Whiskeys, it's an opportunity to really dig into the rare whiskeys."

When patrons purchase their tickets to these dinners, they are gaining access into an exclusive collection of whiskeys and then being able to taste several of them.  On top of all the great, oaky, aged flavors of bourbon and whiskey, there is the food itself. The courses are tailored to be paired with whiskey, and they are creative and delightful. It's high-end barbecue, elevated to a coursed meal level.

Each dinner in the lineup has its own unique menu, and the dinners are meant to punctuate the season, the selection and local fare available. Simply put, these are meals people won't want to miss out on, paired with the bourbons of their dreams.

The dinners will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., Tuesdays, Nov. 14, Jan. 23 and March 27. Due to the rare cabinet selections available, ticket demand can be high. For more information or to purchase tickets, call 302-644-2500. Ages 21 and older only.
