Brass concert at Dover High to benefit reopening of Schwartz Center Dec. 14

The Delaware Symphony Orchestra will present Festive Brass, a holiday concert to benefit the reopening of the Schwartz Center for the Arts in Dover. The concert will be held at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 14, at the Dover High School Theater.

The Delaware Symphony Orchestra Brass Quintet will perform festive music for brass from the 16th to 20th centuries including Bach and Bernstein and, after intermission, selections from “The Nutcracker” and Christmas carols. Quintet members are Brian Kuszyk and Steven Skahill, trumpet; Karen Schubert, horn; Richard Linn, trombone; and Brian Brown, tuba.

Patron tickets are $100 which includes reserved seating for the concert and a pre-concert reception at 6 p.m. Tickets for the concert only are $25 for adults, $10 for students 21 and under with an ID, and $20 for seniors 65 and older and military.
