Breast cancer coalition to hold ¡VIDA! multicultural health fair Sept. 9

Translation services to be offered in Spanish and Haitian Creole

Prior to Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition Inc. announced a ¡VIDA! Multicultural Screening and Health Fair set for 11 a.m to 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 9, at the Georgetown Fire Co., 100 South Bedford St., Georgetown. The fair will focus on breast cancer screening, treatment and survivorship for women, men and children of all ages.

Screenings will also be available for blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, BMI and bone density. There will be giveaways, children's activities, and translation services in Spanish and Haitian Creole. Information will be provided about healthy living, community programs and additional resources to the public.

The program is made possible with support from Beebe Healthcare, Perdue Foundation, National Association of Hispanic Nurses, Fund for Women and Georgetown Fire Co. For more information, call 302-212-2947.
