Broga, yoga for men, to start at CAMP Rehoboth June 9

June 4, 2018

CAMP Rehoboth will present Broga, a yoga class geared for men of all shapes and sizes, where it’s OK if participants can’t touch their toes. Five classes will be held, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., Saturday, June 9 and 23, July 7 and 21, and Aug. 18, at CAMP Rehoboth, 37 Baltimore Ave., Rehoboth Beach.

Strong, energetic and challenging, Broga combines the best core-strengthening, muscle-toning, cardio-working, stress-reducing, clarity-enhancing yoga postures with functional fitness exercises for an amazing workout. Participants should bring their own mats.

These classes offer men real tools for coping with daily stresses and demands through an accessible yoga-based fitness program taught from a man’s point of view. Broga is for every body, from the beginner yogi to the professional athlete.

Broga instructor Ken Yazge is the owner and founder of Fitness Generation in Bethesda, Md. His interest in wellness began in 1989 when he joined the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad. As an emergency medical technician and firefighter, he saw the difference one person can make in someone’s life.

Yazge is an AFAA Certified Personal Trainer and ACE Certified Health Coach, and he believes certification is only the beginning for a personal trainer. Experience and continuing education develop the best trainers. Yoga has become a passion for Yazge. He is a certified/licensed Broga yoga teacher and is furthering his yoga education with 200-hour teacher training at the Mindfulness Center in Bethesda. He teaches a weekly gentle yoga class, and various special events.

Classes are $10 each. Participants are encouraged to sign up for all five classes, but individual participation is welcomed as schedules permit. For more information or to register, call Salvatore at CAMP Rehoboth at 302-227-5620 or email Salvatore@camprehoboth.com. Walk-ins are also encouraged.
