Cape’s Eddy Shoop scored 36 seconds into overtime to give the White team a 9-8 victory over the Blue squad in the annual Delaware Lacrosse Foundation Blue-White Senior All-Star Game at Wesley College’s Scott D. Miller Stadium June 13.

The 2017 Delaware Player of the Year took a shot off a free position play through four Blue defenders to score the winning goal. She ended the game with three goals. Cape teammates Katie Klabe scored a hat trick and Cailey Thornburg scored twice for the White squad. Sussex Tech’s Madi Bada added one for the winning team.

The Blue team struck first and went up 4-0 before the Vikings-Ravens connection took over the scoring.

Shoop, Thornburg and goalie Izzy Cryne were chosen first-team all-state along with Cape teammates sophomore midfielder Alia Marshall and junior defender Annie Judge. Vikings juniors Lindsay Monigle, Victoria Lockwood and Jody Boyer received second-team honors at attack, midfielder and defense, respectively.
