Cape Flavors columnist Denise Clemons to receive awards May 3
Cape Gazette columnist Denise Clemons has been awarded prizes in two categories in the 2018 Delaware Press Association Communications Contest.
This recognition was based on four examples of her weekly food column, Cape Flavors. Her columns "Blackwall Hitch" and "Dogfish Head" won second place in the Specialty Articles – Food Category. Her Cape Flavors columns "Garlic Chives" and "Cabbage Soup" won third place in the Columns - Informational Category.
Awards will be presented Thursday, May 3, at the Delaware Press Association Communication Contest Banquet held at the University & Whist Club in Wilmington.
Clemons’ column, Cape Flavors, appears every Friday in the Food & Drink section of the Cape Gazette, featuring food history, seasonal ingredients and recipes for the home cook.
