Cape girls’ basketball loses in second half to Knights

It was a tale of two halves for the Cape girls’ basketball team Dec. 6. The Vikings were only down by one point at the half, but the team was outscored by 14 in the third period and could not recover in the fourth, falling to Sussex Central 56-38 to even their season at 1-1.

Cape junior Niyashja Mosley hit for 20 points, while Sydney Pedersen put up 10. Central had three players in double figures. Ambria and her sister Raeonna Stratton teamed for 27 points, while teammate Tameeyah Bowden hit for 12.

The Vikings are back in action Tuesday, Dec. 12, when they travel to Polytech. Tip-off is set for 6:15 p.m.
