Cape jazz combo musicians to play at True Blue Jazz show April 28

April 20, 2018

True Blue Jazz organizers joyfully announce that the Cape Henlopen High School Jazz Combo will play at an upcoming show set for 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., Saturday, April 28, at Nassau Valley Vineyards.

Celebrating the month of April as Jazz Appreciation Month, True Blue Jazz presents Diva La Difference vocalist Suede, with the Fred Hughes Trio. The show is a benefit for the youth jazz initiative programs True Blue Jazz offers throughout the year, ranging from workshops and master classes to scholarships and instrument donations.

The Cape jazz combo will entertain ticket holders as doors open at 6:30 p.m. for general admission seating. Co-founder and Producer Eddie Sherman said, "Getting our local young musicians out in front of Cape Region audiences is an important part of supporting their music education."

"Several members of this very talented group are graduating seniors. This will be one of the last opportunities the public has to come out and see them perform," said True Blue Jazz co-founder and Artistic Director Peggy Raley. The audience just might get to see some of the kids join the headliners for a tune or two. The Cape jazz combo will feature Hannah Wiswell, Dru Simmons, Nate Phillips, Emily Heiner, Will Warick, Noah Sutton and Matt Libby.
