The Cape Lacrosse Camp was held Aug. 8-11 at Cape Henlopen Champions Stadium, where 40 future lax stars in grades 2-8 learned everything from the basics to the finer points of the game of lacrosse. The camp, attended by players of all skill levels, learned about scooping ground balls, cradling, dodging, passing, shooting, and the strategy of offense and defense.
“It was a great camp,” said director Jack Lingo. “We doubled our attendance from last year. The players did great, and everyone had a great time.”
The camp lasted from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and prizes were given for effort and stick tricks.
