I want to express my appreciation to Sheridan Seyfried and a handful of his talented friends: Ya Jhu Yang, Jonah Kim, Dennis Kim, Bianca Garcia, Soojin Han, and Sean Kennard, from their years of study at Curtis in Philadelphia.
On Aug. 10 they offered an enthusiastic concert at Epworth Methodist Church with a varied menu ranging from classic to Celtic music. The talent displayed was awe-inspiring, and the bond of friendship among the musicians was evident and added to the impact.
This concert was free with contributions encouraged to feed the hungry in Africa. And it was scheduled to repeat at St. Martha's at Bethany Beach the next evening. The music alone was uplifting, but the kind gift bestowed by this group of gracious musicians will stay in my heart for years.
A special thanks is deserved to Gary and Betty Grunder, Dennis Forney, the Cape Gazette, Edna Ellet, the Rehoboth Summer Children's Theatre, and Epworth United Methodist Church for their support of the event.
