Coast Day in Lewes returned Oct. 1 after a two-year hiatus, attracting a large crowd of Cape Region residents and visitors.

The University of Delaware’s College of Earth, Ocean and Environment and Sea Grant program invited the public for a day-long event showcasing dozens of vendors, environmental groups, demonstrations, lectures and more. Visitors could learn about everything from living shorelines and sustainable energy to how researchers use robotics to map coastal changes.
