Cape softball defeats Woodbridge, falls to CR

Vikings head to Maryland tourney

The Cape softball team defeated Woodbridge 21-1 April 10. Freshman Kaniah James slammed an inside-the-park home run for the Vikings in the first inning. Kristine Davis picked up the win for Cape.

The Vikings then fell to Caesar Rodney 6-1 April 12 at home. Catcher Raegan Jackson led off with a home run for the Vikings. Cape had two hits in the contest. Savannah Reed came in to relieve Kristine Davis on the mound.

The Vikings will travel to the Mardela (Maryland) Tournament Friday, April 14, to face Nandua and Mardela High School.
