The Cape softball season came to an end Tuesday, May 16, as they dropped a 20-3 game to Lake Forest on the Spartans’ Senior Night.
Vikings senior Hannah Jones went 3-for-3 while fellow senior Jordyn Virden went 2-for-3.
The Lady Vikings put up three runs in the fourth inning to cut Lake’s lead to 10-3, but the Spartans bats put 10 more runs up in the bottom of the inning, and the game ended after the fifth inning on the 10-run-lead rule.
Lake Forest outhit the Vikings 22-6.
