Car show to benefit Delaware Veterans Trust Fund May 6

March 23, 2017

The First State American Crew, in conjunction with the Friends of Delaware Veterans Inc., is sponsoring a car show to benefit the Delaware Veterans Trust Fund, from 12 to 4 p.m., Saturday, May 6, at the Blue Hen Business Center, Dover. The show will award trophies in several categories. There will be a DJ, a silent auction with products from local companies, and a 50/50 raffle.

Former U.S. Marine Aaron Bright and his wife Paige are joining the effort on behalf of his fellow veterans. Bright served on the Marine Fleet Antiterrorism Security Teams before leaving the corps in 2016. FAST maintains forward-deployed platoons at various naval facilities around the globe and possesses alert forces capable of rapidly responding to unforeseen contingencies worldwide.

The First State American Crew is a car club for car enthusiasts who live in Delaware who own any year, make and model of car. It was founded in 2015 by Christina Fitzwater and her husband to raise funds for local charities.

"We are truly appreciative of the efforts of this car club and Mr. Bright to help our veterans," said Paul Davis, Friends of Delaware Veterans vice president. Admission is free. Vehicle registration fee is $15. For more information or to register, email firststateamericancrew@yahoo.com.
