Carroll T. Anderson, had career in public service

Carroll T. Anderson, 90, of Ocean View, passed away peacefully Friday, Oct. 7, 2016. He was born May 5, 1927, in Washington, D.C., a son of the late Guy and Edith Anderson.

He served in the Navy and the Reserves for 10 years during World War II and post World War II. Carroll had a distinguished 40-year career in public service and continued his public service for the next 30 years working in the NASA Space Program and at the Department of Treasury, Bureau of Engraving and Printing. His passions included fishing, golfing and spending time with family and friends.

Carroll is predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Bernice Anderson. Carroll is survived by his beloved children Brenda Goddard, Bruce Anderson, Nancy Gonzalez and Darlene Colbert, as well as his seven cherished grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 12, at 2:30 p.m., with visitation from 2 to 2:30 p.m. at Melson's Ocean View Chapel, 38040 Muddy Neck Road, Ocean View.
