Catholic’s divorce survival guide course starts Sept. 13

August 25, 2016

St. Jude the Apostle Parish will host the Catholic's Divorce Survival Guide at 7:30 Tuesdays beginning Sept. 13.

Top Catholic personalities will bring hope, healing, wisdom and even wit to those who are separated or divorced. A professionally produced 12-show DVD series for finding the peace, power and passion that may have been lost in divorce is offered along with discussions over a 12-week period.

Too many people stay stuck in their pain and don't know how to find their way home after the breakdown of a marriage. The program was created to move the divorced or separated Catholic past the pain of divorce so they can find the love that truly satisfies in the sacraments. All separated and divorced Catholics are welcome to come and experience the healing power of this divorce survival guide. Whether participants got divorced 10 days ago or 10 years ago, the program offers valuable insight for everyone.

Experts in the series include some of the best and brightest teachers, counselors, and authors in Catholic media: Rose Sweet (series producer and author of "Healing the Divorced Heart"), Dr. Ray Guarendi (Catholic psychologist, author and EWTN talk show host), Mitch Pacwa (EWTN host and a child of divorce), Donald Calloway (Catholic priest, popular speaker and child of divorce), Christopher West (theologian and teacher of Pope John Paul II's Theology of the Body), and Steve Porter, a Catholic priest and seasoned spiritual director.

The DVD series also includes Catholic men and women who share their gut-wrenching but inspiring stories of divorce and recovery. For more information, contact Kathy Ebner at 302-644-7300 or Kathy.ebner@stjudelewes.org.
