Celebration 2017 Commitee hard at work planning Oct. 4 event

September 15, 2017

Planning is well underway for Celebration 2017, set for 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 4, in the Swan Ballroom at the Atlantic Sands Hotel on the Boardwalk in Rehoboth Beach.

Presented by the Episcopal Church Women of All Saints' Episcopal Church in Rehoboth Beach and St. George's Chapel in Harbeson, and co-sponsored by the Atlantic Sands Hotel, Celebration 2017 is a fairly new event - in its second year now -  and is replacing the long-running Rehoboth Christmas Shop which was a tremendous fundraiser for local charities for 53 years.

The Episcopal Church Women felt that the great success of last year’s Celebration event is a good reason to change and move forward. Celebration 2017 guests will enjoy delicious food donated by many of Rehoboth's fine restaurants, plus cocktails, raffles, a 50/50, and an entertaining fashion show featuring clothing from the All Saints' Parish Thrift Shop in Rehoboth and the St. George's Chapel Thrift Shop in Millsboro.

Seven local nonprofits have been designated as beneficiaries; they include: Immanuel Shelter, Camp Arrowhead, Crisis House, The Way Home Prison Ministry, West Rehoboth Children and Youth Program, the Community Resource Center and National Alliance on Mental Illness Delaware.

Admission to Celebration 2017 is $35 at the door, or invitations can be mailed with more information; call call All Saints' Church at 302-227-7202 or go to allsaintsandstgeorges.org.
