February 28, 2017

The Honorable Leo E. Strine Jr., Chief Justice of the Delaware Supreme Court, will discuss access to justice and answer audience questions at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 7,  at Trinity Faith Christian Center in Lewes.

Presented by Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice, Strine will discuss the findings of a commission established two years ago to study access to justice in Delaware.

The study focused on adequate funding for legal services to people who can't afford them; help for people who want to represent themselves; increasing the pool of legal advisors to help litigants of limited means; and fairness in in the adult criminal justice system.

Strine will discuss the study's findings as well as resulting changes and improvements in access to justice. Participants are encouraged to bring questions and consider how SDARJ can contribute to improving the justice system.

Trinity Faith Christian Center is at 15516 New Road, Lewes.
