Child’s Play wraps gifts for Epworth Giving Tree

The families from Child’s Play By the Bay spent the evening of Dec. 7 at the Lewes Library, wrapping gifts for Epworth United Methodist Church’s Giving Tree.

The families purchased gifts that were on the tags and brought them to the library for a wrapping party. The Giving Tree has gift tags provided by Cape Henlopen School District’s Visiting Teacher and Homeless Liaisons as well as West Rehoboth Youth Program and Delaware Guidance. These wishes appear as gift tags on the Giving Tree for adoption by the congregation and community.

In early December, the tags remaining on the Giving Tree are turned over to the “shopping elves” to finish purchasing the gifts as well as the grocery items and food gift cards for the family’s Christmas food basket.
