Children’s Learning Garden programs to kick off June 23

June 19, 2017

Summer is here, and it is a great time to take advantage of the programs at the Children's Learning Garden in Stango Park, Lewes.

Farmer McGregor (Brent Marsh) and his friends will kick off the season with a puppet show at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 23. Weather permitting, children will be able to go into the garden and see the plants growing and pick the ripe fruits or vegetables for their eating pleasure. McGregor is a master gardener who has entertained children of all ages for years, while championing the benefits of healthy eating.

Come join the fun as children build a fairy and gnome garden at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 30. Boys and girls can come dressed as their favorite fairy or gnome. The fun continues all summer. Special programs will be held to celebrate nature and the joy of gardening. Activities include music, arts and crafts, science and cooking classes.
