Coastal Concerts to present Dalí Quartet Jan. 20

The Dalí Quartet will bring its signature mix of classical roots and Latin soul to the Bethel United Methodist Church Hall in Lewes for Coastal Concerts' first offering of 2018, at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 20. The quartet's passionate energy is poured into everything they do, generating critical and audience acclaim for their eclectic programs of Latin American and classical compositions.

In addition to contemporary works by Juan Ramirez and Javier Álvarez, the concert will feature Astor Piazzolla's "Tango Ballet" and Claude Debussy's "String Quartet in G Minor."

Based in Philadelphia, the quartet comprises violinists Domenic Salerni and Carlos Rubio, violist Adriana Linares and cellist Jesús Morales Matos. Trained by world-renowned artists, the members of the Dalí Quartet are from Venezuela, Puerto Rico and the U..S, and have studied at esteemed institutions such as the Cleveland Institute of Music, Yale University, Indiana University Bloomington and the Simón Bolivar Conservatory in Caracas, Venezuela.

Tickets are $35, with free admission to each youngster under 19 accompanied by an adult. Discounted tickets are available at $10 for students 19 and older, and for active-duty and retired career military personnel. Valid IDs are required for student and military discounts.
