Colleen ‘Cookie’ Michelle Cook, loved her pets

Colleen “Cookie” Michelle Cook, 58, of Lewes, passed away after a long battle with cancer, at her home Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017. She was born Saturday, Jan. 31, 1959, in Baltimore, Md., daughter of John and Winifred Cook.

After meeting the love of her life, Karen Harris, in 1990, Colleen and Karen were married in Toronto, Canada June 1, 2004. They shared many wonderful memories together. Colleen was known for her love of pets, but dogs in particular were her absolute joy in life. She also enjoyed going to classic car shows and visiting art galleries and museums. Colleen will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Colleen’s Life will take place at her favorite spot on the beach at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Tunnell Cancer Center, 18947 John J. Williams Hwy., Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971, or to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.

Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
