Connor ‘Boh’ Walter Bohan, served his community

Connor "Boh" Walter Bohan, 77, of Dewey Beach passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018, at Jefferson Hospital of Neuroscience in Philadelphia, Pa. He was born Monday, Nov. 25, 1940, in Washington, D.C., son of the late Walter W. and Mary U. Bohan.

Mr. Bohan was a graduate of Gonzaga High School in Washington, D.C., and continued to Georgetown University where he graduated in 1962 with his bachelor’s degree in business. He worked a dedicated career for 51 years in the paper sales industry working for various companies, beginning with Whitaker Paper Company and ending with Cellmark. Mr. Bohan proudly served in the Army National Guard during the Cambridge Riots. He was a dedicated member of the Bowie and Dewey Beach Lions Clubs, serving his communities for more than 43 years. In his free time, Mr. Bohan enjoyed gardening, watching the stock market and playing with the neighborhood cats. More than anything, he enjoyed the time spent with his loving family, especially when it involved a good celebration.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Bohan was preceded in death by his baby brother, Paul. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Joy; his three children: Kristyn Mary Bohan and her wife Cindy Heil of Lewes, Jennifer Bohan Lesniewski of Annapolis, Md., and Connor Brendan Bohan and his wife Laura of Mount Airy, Md.; his six grandchildren: Luke and Logan Lesniewski, Connor and Finley Bohan, and, Alex and Kelsey Heil; his brother: Richard H. Bohan and his wife Ann Marie of Silver Spring, Md.; and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, May 31, at 11 a.m., at St. Edmond Catholic Church, 409 King Charles Ave., Rehoboth Beach, where friends may call beginning at 10 a.m.

Friends may also call the evening prior, Wednesday, May 30, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes.
