Cookie walk set at Lewes Senior Center Dec. 10

December 2, 2016

Lewes Senior Center members have been busy baking dozens and dozens of cookies for the center's inaugural cookie walk, set 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 10. The public is invited to stroll through the center to purchase old favorites and new treats for $7 a pound.

A cookie walk is a great way to enjoy the tastes of the season without all of the work and mess. There will be a wide variety of homemade baked goods. From chocolate chip and sugar cookies to biscotti and oatmeal cranberry cookies, a favorite is sure to be found. Proceeds will benefit the Lewes Senior Center's member programs.

The center is a community gathering place where active adults ages 50 and older come together to laugh and learn. The center provides social, recreational, educational, cultural and health programs, services and activities that promote a healthy lifestyle.

The Lewes Senior Center is at 32083 Janice Road in Lewes. For more information, go to www.lewesseniorcenter.org.
