Crafters prepare for Christmas fair set at St. George’s Chapel Dec. 3

The St. George's Episcopal Chapel's 12th annual Christmas Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 3, at their parish hall in Harbeson. Tours of the historic chapel, which is 297 years old, will be available. The fair is sponsored by the Episcopal Church Women.

Money raised from the event helps in ministries which the women support, including Crisis House, Boys and Girls Clubs in Oak Orchard, clothing and shoes for children, Cape Henlopen Food Basket, scholarships for senior girls and more.

Handmade crafts, white elephant items, bake sale, gifts by the Sussex County MS Shore Group, used books, DVDs, audio books, inspirational gifts, original jewelry designs, handcrafted cutting boards, Wisconsin cheeses, jams and honey from Stag Run Farm, fresh green Christmas wreaths and work of award-winning decorative painter Winnie Fulmer will be available.

A highlight raffle item will be an original work of textile art by Betsey VonDreele and a woodcarving by John Hukill. There will be breakfast items as well as lunch foods, including soups, chili, sandwiches, hot dogs, drinks and desserts. There is ample parking and admission is free.
