Culinary scholarships Carnevale! fundraiser set April 10

La Vida Hospitality steps up to plate
April 5, 2018

Josh Grapski of LaVida Hospitality recently donated $2,000 to the www.RehobothFoodie.com/Touch of Italy Culinary Scholarship Fund with proceeds from January’s Winter Cocktail Party/Bartender Competition. LaVida is the parent company of Fork & Flask, Crooked Hammock Brewery, Big Chill Surf Cantina, the Taco Reho Truck and the soon-to-open for 2018 Big Chill Beach Club at the Indian River Inlet.

The primary fundraiser for the culinary foundation is Carnevale!, to take place at 6 p.m., Tuesday, April 10, in Rehoboth Beach. For this event, the Rehoboth Touch of Italy morphs into an Italian street fair, overflowing with all-you-can-eat cuisine from five of Italy’s culinary regions, and delicious wines from Italy and elsewhere.

Silent and live auctions during Carnevale! will help the foundation continue its mission to grant up to $5,000 in culinary school scholarships to Delaware high school graduates who excel in the Delaware Restaurant Association’s ProStart Program.

The relaxed and relatively intimate Carnevale! is limited to only 100 participants. At press time, only a few admission tickets remained.

For more information, to donate or to purchase tickets, go to www.TouchofItaly.com/Carnevale.
