DAR essay contest entries due May 31

The Major Nathaniel Mitchell Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution announced an essay contest for Delaware students enrolled in first through 12th grades. The topic is a Delaware signer of the U.S. Constitution.
Essays should be typed, double-spaced, not to exceed three pages. An attached cover page must include entrant’s name, school, grade, age, telephone number and name of parent or guardian. Entries must be postmarked by Thursday, May 31, and mailed to Essay Contest, 20323 Ennis Road, Georgetown, DE 19947. Essays will not be returned. Judges’ decision will be final.
Winners will be honored at the Constitution Week Celebration Saturday, Sept. 15, in Georgetown.
