Daring Way workshop set in Lewes March 3-5

February 10, 2017

The Daring Way workshop is set Friday-Sunday, March 3-5 at the Yoga Studio 24 in Lewes. The workshop will be led by Karen Barwick, a licensed professional counselor and certified Daring Way Facilitator. "We are living in uncertain times, but the truth is, just the act of being human can be a challenge," said Barwick. "Who doesn't struggle with something? Relationship issues, loss, not enough "fill in the blank" here. How do we cultivate the resiliency we need to show up fully, authentically and courageously in the face of so much uncertainty?"

The Daring Way is a highly experiential methodology based on the work of University of Houston researcher and New York Times bestselling author Dr. Brené Brown. She says, "You can't get to courage without walking through vulnerability.”

Barwick will help participants explore topics such as vulnerability, courage, shame and worthiness. Attendees will examine the thoughts, emotions and behaviors that are holding them back and identify the new choices and practices that will move them toward more authentic and wholehearted living. The primary focus is on developing shame resilience skills and developing daily practices that transform the way people live, love, parent and lead.

The workshop begins at 6 p.m., Friday. Saturday's session will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an optional creative process set 7 to 9 p.m. It concludes at 1 p.m., Sunday. Cost is $395. Preregistration is required. For more information, call Barwick at 302-381-0212 or the Yoga Studio at 302-542-8529.
