Dave King fundraiser attracts hundreds to The Factory

September 7, 2016

The Factory, Beach Waves Family Salon staff and family members gathered Aug. 27, in Nassau Commons where The Factory held a fundraiser for David King, a Lewes native who is battling cancer. The event offered silent and live auctions, raffles, a cornhole contest, music provided by The Matthew Street Band and food from The Dog House.

Just before Memorial Day, King found out he had cancer. After many tests and scans he and his wife Eileen, owner of Beach Waves Salon located at Villages of Five Points in Lewes, received the news that he had lung and bone cancer. The Kings are well known in the area, and are always giving to others in times of need. David continues chemotherapy and bone marrow injection with a possibility of radiation. One hundred percent of the funds raised are for Dave and Eileen to assist them in the journey.
