David Grant Holsopple, devoted St. George’s member

David Grant Holsopple, 78, of Harbeson, formerly of College Park, Md., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017, in the Delaware Veterans Home, Milford.

He was born Dec. 22, 1938, in Windber, Pa., a son of the late Grant and Elsie (Gasper) Holsopple.

Mr. Holsopple served in the U.S. Navy, and was a serviceman for Washington Gas Co. for 35 years.

He was a devoted member of St. George’s Chapel and loved to hunt, fish, do woodworking, and travel with his loving wife.

David is survived by wife Colette; daughter Kathleen Williams (Thomas); son Mark; grandchildren Aaron (Katie), Emily and Daniel Williams; and brothers Richard (Lenore) and William (Jackie).

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at 11 a.m., at St. George’s Chapel, 20271 Beaver Dam Road, Harbeson. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. George’s Chapel ECW Scholarship Fund, 18 Olive Ave., Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.
