Davis, Bowen & Friedel listed among top 300 AEC firms in nation

October 4, 2017

For the ninth consecutive year, Davis, Bowen & Friedel Inc. has been listed within the nation's top 300 architecture, engineering and construction firms by Building Design+Construction magazine. As listed in the July 2017 Giants 300 Report, DBF was the only Eastern Shore-based firm in its group, coming in at No. 35 among the list of other engineering/architecture firms.

The magazine annually ranks the largest commercial AEC firms in the nation based on reported data which includes building-type revenue, green building work, building information modeling revenue and other criteria. Building sectors recognized by the nationally distributed publication include education, retail, healthcare, commercial office, multifamily residential, hotels, transit and recreation/sports.

Since its inception in 1983, DBF has been providing professional architectural, engineering, and surveying services to clients located both on and off the Eastern Shore. Within Delaware, recent projects include the Rehoboth Beach City Hall complex, civil engineering services for several resort-area subdivisions, the Milford Pump Station rehabilitation project, and multiple engineering and architecture projects at the Dover Air Force Base.

"Continuously being ranked as one of the country's top engineering/architecture firms is not only rewarding to us as a firm, but it is also an indication of the continual growth of the Delmarva Peninsula and the interest this area holds for the incoming businesses, retirees and flourishing industries," said DBF President Michael Wigley, AIA.
