Deal falls apart for Quakertown Wellness Center new location

March 16, 2018

Quakertown Wellness Center practitioners regret to announce that the center will be moving to yet another new location by Monday, April 30. The team members are grateful for all the community support of Quakertown Wellness over the years. The center’s recent relocation to 1204 Savannah Road was part of a larger goal of finding a permanent home for its holistic healing services.

While the preliminary site plan for a conditional-use permit to operate commercially out of the residential property was recently approved by the county, the cost of improvements to the property became too great to bear. The required investment to make the property commercial ready rose too high once costs were included for mandated fire marshal renovations, ADA compliance, future public sewer and water installation, and repair of the current cesspool septic which failed DNREC inspection in July 2017.

The Quakertown team is continuing to work with the seller in hopes of coming to a new agreement with respect to the property. The preliminary site plan approval is valid for three years, so the center can come back to this location at some point in the future if agreement can be reached to purchase and improve the property at a more reasonable cost.

As of April 30, Quakertown Wellness will no longer be operating out of the 1204 Savannah Road location. Clients are asked to bear with the practitioners as they reorganize and regroup at another location. In the interim, to find out each practitioner’s new practice location, contact them individually.
