Elected officials, active and retired military, and school children participated in the fourth annual Wreaths Across America program Dec. 11 in Dover.
Wreaths Across America seeks to remember fallen veterans, honor those who serve and teach the values of freedom. Similar ceremonies were held in all 50 states and at veteran cemeteries across the nation.
According to the the nonprofit organization’s website, in 2014, over 700,000 wreaths were laid at 1,000 locations around the world. The official Wreaths Across America Day is Saturday, Dec. 16.
