The Delaware Humane Association celebrated the grand opening of its new adoption center in the Midway Shopping Center Aug. 24.
Adoptee King was the honoree who kicked off the Ribbon Chewing Celebration.
The homey setting allows future family members to meet animals who will become a part of their family. A glass wall separates two rooms where the animals are free to roam in one of them.
The facility will become a mini community center with art exhibits, obedience classes, boarding and vaccination clinics, birthday parties and more.
