DelAWAREness raises $23,000 for Autism Delaware

Autism Delaware development director David Woods recently accepted a check for more than $23,000 from DelAWAREness creator Todd Muñoz in the agency's Newark office.

DelAWAREness is a dance charity showcase and fundraising event that brings together high schools, colleges, dance studios and professional organizations from the tri-state area to for two performances during Autism Awareness Month.

Muñoz, who is co-owner of Beat Addikts United Inc., created DelAWAREness in response to his younger brother's autism diagnosis and his wish for everyone to know that people with autism like to have fun just like everybody else.

All proceeds from the annual event benefit Autism Delaware programs and services.
