Delmarva Christian Schools open houses set Feb. 16

February 7, 2017

Delmarva Christian Schools will host open house events for prospective students considering enrolling at Delmarva Christian High School or Delmarva Christian Milton Campus for the 2017-18 school year. The open house will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 16, at both the high school campus in Georgetown for students in grades nine through 12, and at the lower campus in Milton for students entering preschool through eighth grades.

Visitors will have the opportunity to meet teachers/staff, learn about each school's Christ-centered curriculum that imparts excellence, and tour either or both schools throughout the three-hour event. Information will also be available on distinct programs each school offers including, but not limited to, J-Term, Life Calling, athletics and the arts.

Delmarva Christian Schools will begin accepting student applications during the open house, so the sooner one submits an application the better the chances of not being placed on a waiting list. Currently,  an application fee reimbursement program gives students who file their applications by Tuesday, Feb. 28, eligibility for reimbursement of half (or $50) of the $100 application fee.

Committed to excellence, Delmarva Christian Schools offers nondenominational, Christ-centered educational opportunities to students from preschool to eighth grade in Milton and from ninth to 12th grade in Georgetown. The high school is dually accredited by the Commission on Secondary Schools of the Middle States Association and the Association of Christian Schools International with teachers certified by the state of Delaware (or a reciprocal state) or by ACSI.

Offering 12 different varsity-level sports, DCHS is a member of the Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association and the Eastern Shore Independent Athletic Conference. The Milton campus offers a hybrid-classical approach with small classes promoting individualized attention and expansive learning opportunities to include classes in Latin, technology, and visual and performing arts.
