Dewey Arts and Fun Festival draws crowds

Local artwork, crafts featured at annual event

More than 60 artists displayed their handcrafted wares at the Dewey Arts and Fun Festival and Lions Club Community Day May 12 on Dagsworthy Avenue bayside.

The Dewey Business Partnership, Dewey Lions Club and the Dewey Artist Collaboration partnered to plan the event, originally known as the Dewey Arts Fest.

“This is a way to come out and support local artists, enjoy great food trucks from local vendors, have fun with your kids, your dogs - and especially to shop local for Mother’s Day,” said Kelly Ranieri of Dewey Business Partnership.

The family-focused event featured original paintings, photography, ceramics, jewelry, home and garden accessories for sale, and live music added to the festival atmosphere.
