Dewey Beach has reset her sails

September 28, 2017

On Sept. 16, Dewey Beach voters went to the polls to elect three commissioners.

As I waited for the results many thoughts raced through my mind. I was not prepared and completely humbled when it was announced that not only had I been successful in my attempt, but also received the most votes.

For me, this is not about politics; this is only about policy that is good for Dewey Beach.

During the course of this election season, I heard from constituents, elected officials, friends and family who love this town as much as I do. There were dozens of people who supported me and worked tirelessly on my behalf. Now, it is important that I take the time to thank each and every one of you for your support and friendship. I would not be able to accomplish this goal had it not been for your endless support.

The best part of this journey is that I have made new lifelong friends, especially my running mates, Paul Bauer and Jill Compello.

All of Delaware is watching. The voters got it right, and it is time to bring Dewey Beach back together and reset our sails. Together we can do anything.

mayor, Dewey Beach
