DeWitt R. Wolfe, retired carpenter

DeWitt R. Wolfe, 88, of Dagsboro died Friday, July 28, 2017, at 9 p.m. He was born in Rehoboth Beach July 11, 1929, to the late Edward and Lucinda Johnson Wolfe. He lived in Clarksville for 20 years, and moved to Dagsboro in 1982. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1951-53 during the Korean War. He retired from Local 2012 as a carpenter after serving with them for 25 years.

He had a love for working in his garden and workshop, or out on the boat fishing. His true love was spending time with his wife of 61 years and his family.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Arneva M. Wolfe; three daughters: Deborah L. Hall (Clay A.) of Dagsboro, Joyce A. Wooters (Glenn) of Greenwood, and Rita H. Kucek (Michael) of Dover. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Holly Hammond (Brandon) of Georgetown, Melissa Collins (J.D. Morrill) of Greenwood, Cole Hall of Dagsboro, Brandon Kucek of Milford, Ryan Kucek of Dover and Matt Wooters of Greenwood; great-grandchildren: Isaiah Wooters of Georgetown, Payton and Braelyn Morrill of Greenwood, and Isabella and Colton Hall of Dagsboro.

DeWitt was preceded by three brothers: Edward, Russell and Jack Wolfe; and a sister: Genevieve.

A funeral service and Celebration of His Life will be held Friday, Aug. 4, at noon, at Watson Funeral Home in Millsboro. Friends may call for viewing and visitation at 11 a.m. till noon prior to the service. Pastor Clifton Toomey will officiate.
