Divine Tasting Sept. 23 to benefit Community Resource Center

August 25, 2017

Divine Tasting, a fundraising event for the Community Resource Center in Rehoboth Beach, will be offered from 5 to 7 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 23, at St. Jude the Apostle Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes.

Offering fine wines combined with excellent food tastings from Palate, this event has been expanded this year to offer craft beers paired with fine foods to excite the palate. A silent auction like no other will also be offered, bringing one-of-a-kind items, great gift ideas and some wonderful things bidders just might want to have for themselves.

The Community Resource Center in Rehoboth Beach was created in 2011 to serve as a centralized location to help meet the needs of eastern Sussex County residents facing crises. The CRC helps individuals and families regardless of race, sexual orientation or religious affiliation. For those living below the poverty line, the means to overcome common obstacles are often out of reach. To learn more about the CRC, go to www.rehobothcommunitycenter.org or call 302-227-1340.

Food will be prepared by Gary and Lorraine Papp, proprietors of Palate Bistro & Catering in Rehoboth Beach and The Essential Chef Catering. Wines and craft beers are provided by R&L Liquors of Lewes, with a very fine selection for this year’s event. Tickets are $60 each and can be obtained on Eventbrite at Divine Tasting Lewes, or https://divinetasting.eventbrite.com.
