August 18, 2017

The Award Winners XVII reception and award ceremony will be held at the Biggs Museum of American Art in Dover from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 30. The event will feature special performances by three of the 18 Individual Artist Fellows for 2017. Attendees can experience the work of all 18 artists in the Award Winners XVII exhibit on the third floor of the museum. The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

The first part of the reception will feature piano selections by Emerging Fellow in Music Daniel Carunchio, and a presentation by A.T. Moffett, established fellow in choreography, followed by the remarks and awards presentation. The second portion will end with a staged reading of work by Emerging Fellow in Playwriting Aaron Wright.

Each year, the Biggs Museum of American Art, in partnership with the Delaware Division of the Arts, exhibits the work of Delaware's Individual Artist Fellows. The Award Winners XVII exhibition, on view through Sunday, Oct. 22, recognizes the fellows' combined artistic accomplishments.
