Dogfish Head’s 7th annual Analog-A-Go-Go festival to be held Nov. 3-5
Dogfish Head will bring a weekend-long celebration of craft home to Rehoboth Beach and Milton Friday-Sunday, Nov. 3-5, for the 7th annual Analog-A-Go-Go festival. This acclamation of all things analog is where fans can enjoy special cask beers, craft cocktails, a plethora of vinyl vendors, food trucks, the fan-favorite artisanal marketplace, live music on the new world-class pub stage at Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats, and events at Dogfish Inn and Chesapeake & Maine.
Friday, Nov. 3
The celebration of craft festivities jumps off on Friday evening in Lewes at the canalside Dogfish Inn. Join Dogfish Head founder Sam Calagione and Bryan Selders, Dogfish Brewing ambassador, for a music-themed Fireside Jam at 6 p.m. Normally reserved only for Dogfish Inn guests, this event will be open to the public.
Live music will kick off at 10 p.m. at Brewings & Eats in Rehoboth Beach with The Legendary Shack Shakers taking the stage. Originally formed in the mid-1990s, this Southern gothic band draws inspiration from rockabilly, rock ‘n’ roll, country, and even a little punk rock. To match the energetic tunes and theatrical stage presence, vocalist J.D. Wilkes puts on a show that earned him the title of Nashville's Best Frontman from Scene, the Music City's entertainment magazine. He has also been compared to Iggy Pop and David Byrne. Over the years, the band has toured with The Reverend Horton Heat, featured former Dead Kennedys member Jello Biafra on a song, and opened for Robert Plant, a huge fan. Music is free, no tickets necessary.
Saturday, Nov. 4
The Analog-A-Go-Go festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday at the Dogfish Head Craft Brewery in Milton. This daylong indie craft beer/music experience will feature tastings including rare cask beers and distillery samples with special tours of the Steampunk Treehouse and the brewery.
Folks can also partake in a record swap while listening to a DJ spinning vinyl and then stroll around the outdoor marketplace where special handcrafted treasures and unique finds will be available for purchase. The off-centered bazaar will feature 20 independent merchants selling vintage goods, art, crafts, apparel, jewelry, barware, music accessories, and new and rare vinyl LPs for collectors. Marq Spusta, a California-based artist known for his distinct illustrative style, and a longtime friend of Dogfish, will be creating original art onsite.
Saluting all things casked, the brewers at Dogfish concocted an over-the-top lineup of delicious, twisted selections for attendees to enjoy. They include Orange Creamsicle IPA - a beer made from Flesh & Blood IPA, vanilla and milk sugar; Night in the Woods - a s'mores-inspired stout; a super-special Whiskey Barrel-Aged Palo Santo Maron; the newly released IPA Liquid Truth Serum; Punkin' Ale with lactose, vanilla and extra spices; and 90 Minute IPA with ginger and grapefruit. There will also be a special collaboration with RAR Brewing for Frosty & Havering - brewed with hand-foraged ingredients from Massachusetts and Dorchester County, Md., this right frosty lager can only be found at this event! Just one of several one-of-a-kind, cask-conditioned beers that can only be enjoyed at Analog-A-Go-Go, folks.
Guests can head over to the Distillery Garden and explore the goodness as they walk through Dogfish Head’s grain-to-glass method. Staff will be serving up unique samples and giving a crash course in the art of mixology. Find featured cocktails like Autumn Rose, made with Esprit Malade Apple Brandy, homemade grenadine and lemon juice.
Four food trucks include Dogfish's own Bunyan's Lunchbox, Mojo Loco, Sweet Josephine's and Scission Coffee. A wide variety of Dogfish Head draft beer will be also available for purchase throughout the festival.
After the Analog festivities wrap, head into Rehoboth to Chesapeake & Maine for an Analog Happy Hour until 7 p.m. Enjoy specials on food, shandys and cocktails including half off all Dogfish Head Analog Vodka cocktails.
At 10 p.m. at Brewings & Eats, check out the sounds of Waxahatchee. Katie Crutchfield is no stranger to the DIY music scene. Having written music since her time as a young teenager, and then crafting the punk outfit P.S. Eliot with her twin sister Allison, along with various solo projects, Katie has been quite busy. After the disbandment of P.S. Eliot in 2011, Crutchfield started Waxahatchee. What started as a solo project incepted in her room at her parents’ Alabama home has garnered loads of attention from a myriad of musical outlets like NPR, Pitchfork, and Dusted Magazine. Music is free, no tickets necessary.

Head to Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats for a delicious Analog-A-Go-Go themed brunch with a special DJ spinning vinyl from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
