Dolores A. ‘Dee’ Seitz Fasnacht, Funland co-founder

Dolores A. "Dee" Seitz Fasnacht, 83, passed away Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, in the Hershey Medical Center. Born in Hershey Jan. 9, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lynn and Evelyn Alleman Seitz.

A proud Bulldog, she was a 1951 graduate of the former Hummelstown High School and always considered herself a "Hummelstown Girl" even after moving to Hershey. Dee was a co-founder of Funland in Rehoboth Beach. She was a longtime active member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hummelstown, having served on numerous committees. She was a former volunteer for the Hummelstown Food Bank and the Hershey Medical Center. She had a love of the outdoors, and enjoyed hiking and skiing with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Don Fasnacht; daughters, Gwen Curry, wife of Randy, of Hummelstown, Pa., Lee Ann Fasnacht of Hershey, Pa., Lisa Ginder, wife of Brad, also of Hershey, and Amy Hendricks, wife of Steve, of Palmyra, Pa.; a brother, Steve Seitz, husband of Dotti, of Harrisburg; Pa.; a brother-in-law, Allen Fasnacht; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Dee's life will be held Friday, March 3, at 11 a.m., in Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 100 West Main St., Hummelstown, with the Rev. Lois K. Van Orden, her pastor, officiating. Family and friends are invited to visit with Dee's family immediately following the service.

Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home Inc., 114 West Main St., Hummelstown, is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her church.
