Dolores ‘Dee’ Tucker, had wonderful smile

February 15, 2017

Dolores "Dee" Tucker, 79, of Selbyville, passed away peacefully Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, surrounded by those who loved her after a brave battle with ALS.

Dolores was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and friend. She was very proud of her family and was the most wonderful "Mamaw" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She leaves behind three children: Robin Caporaletti (Gary), Michael Caporaletti and Cathy Turner, six grandchildren: Nicole Concepcion (Neph), Christine Meringolo (Herselle), Sean Caporaletti (Wendy), Drew Turner, Kyle Turner and Dane Turner, and four great-grandchildren: Nevaeh Wade, Malia Wade, Nicholas Wade and Jack Caporaletti. She also leaves behind her loving boyfriend of 20 years, Howard Jaquith, and her precious JJ who never left her side.

Dolores will be remembered mostly for her love, kindness, sense of humor and generosity to everyone. She had an extremely optimistic personality and only saw the good in people. She was strong and feisty and always got the job done. She had a wonderful smile that could light up any room. She loved holidays and family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Among her many accomplishments in life, she was a hairdresser, owner of Z Printing Company and an active member of the Delaware State Federation of Women's Club. She really enjoyed painting houses, landscaping, gardening and cutting grass. She also loved going to resale shops and garage sales every Saturday with her daughter and best friend Robin.

Her new journey takes her to a wonderful place where she will be socializing, dancing, gardening, painting and rearranging Heaven to her heart's content.

Family and friends will gather at Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, Saturday, Feb. 18. Public visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m., and memorial service will be held at 1 p.m.
