July 13, 2016

Everlasting Hope Ministries is seeking donations to provide an avenue of support and hope for individuals whose lives have been adversely affected by drugs and alcohol, for a series of special fellowship services under a big tent placed strategically in the community and a community anti-drug rally through the streets of Georgetown. The purpose of these services and events is to target individuals and offer them assistance. These programs have positively impacted hundreds of people in the community over the years.

Everlasting Hope Ministries would like to provide a variety of items as part of the assistance program, to be made available to these needy individuals. Funds are needed to purchase food for these events, as well as healthcare products, toiletries and other helpful items such as educational literature and T-shirts containing positive healthy messages. These items will be given free to those who attend the services. This year's tent services will be held at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 16-18 and 11:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 21.

This year's preachers include Apostle Larry Morris, Trinity Holiness Church, Frankford, Aug. 16; Bishop Jamie Hazzard , Welcome Full Gospel Holiness Church, Slaughter Neck, Aug. 17; Pastor Arlene Taylo, Chosen Generation Grasonville, Md., Aug. 18; Bishop Marvin Morris, Booker Street Church of God, Georgetown, Aug. 21 at 11:30 a.m.; and Pastor Helena Bailey Aug. 21 at 5 p.m.

The Community Annual Anti-Drug Rally & March will begin at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 20, starting and ending at 10 Booker St., Georgetown. The rally will feature kids' special characters, entertainment, food, music and games at no cost. An estimated 400 to 500 marchers are expected. This year's theme is It's Time to Move.

Donations will be used solely to purchase materials and supplies to promote the anti-drug message. Checks should be made payable to Everlasting Hope Ministries.
